work

I realized yesterday
how much I love my job.
All the people I work with have some magical way of making
every problem
shrink
and placing priorities back in order.
Like a few days ago
when one of my co-workers came in extremely
high-strung
because her twin sisters had gotten tattoos the night before
and it had turned into a family ordeal,
another co-worker talked to her for five minutes
and calmed her down
and she was happy for the rest of the day.
Or when I could tell that another co-worker
was a little stressed
and I ask him if he needed a high five
and he said,
"you called it!"
and smiled.
Or like yesterday
when I made what I thought was a small mistake
and my boss bought me
a cold hard drink (orange juice)
to let me know that it would all be okay.
And even today,
when the issue escalated
to the point that the entire company now knows about the mistake I made,
he blew it off
and assured me that
"it's not blood plasma."
I love my job.

Aw, that makes me happy. I want a high five, too, Linds! I miss you! Glad to hear that people are looking out for you.

That's so nice that people are looking out for you like that and that you are all trying to make each other happier. It makes me want to do a better job.
